GOLDEN RULE DIALOGUE LEADS TO PEACEFUL ELECTIONS IN GHANA

World Peace Ambassador, Dr. Clyde Rivers and
Prof. Emmanuel Asante

Ghana has a new president-elect in the person Nana Akuffo Addo of the New Patriotic Party, and just as important as the election results was the peaceful response from all parties and citizens of the nation. Directly connected to this peaceful response was the message of peace and the Golden Rule that Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers was able to bring just days prior Ghana's national election.

Dr Rivers said, “We were able to bring the golden rule into the election, and teach people that they must treat others the way they want to be treated, which will bring an environment of peace that will promote business, development and empower Ghanaians to thrive and create their own economy.”

Dr. Clyde Rivers was in Ghana just days before their national election, where he met with the National Peace Council of the Republic of Ghana, Prof. Emmanuel K. Asante. Together they established the Accra Declaration, which is a commitment to a peaceful election, signed by all parties. Among their talks they discussed establishing the Golden Rule as a Youth Peace Program to help build systems of peace in the Republic of Ghana.

Dr. Rivers said, “It was such a privilege to sit with Prof. Emmanuel Asante and discuss plans to help establish peace and development in his country. We talked about how to involve the strength of the next generations of Ghanaians through a Golden Rule education model based on peace. We look forward to further interactions with the leadership of the Republic of Ghana as we return and promote Golden Rule Peace and Development.”

Dr. Rivers also spoke to the nation of Ghana through their CLASS RADIO station, which has a listening audience of 1.5 million. He was interviewed by popular radio host, Prince, and was able to talk about Golden Rule Dialogue, calling upon all citizens to value honor, peace and every human life, in anticipation of the country's elections.

Dr. Clyde Rivers, is the Founder and President of iChange Nations™ as well as the global Golden Rule Dialogue Expert. Dr. Rivers travels around the world promoting Golden Rule Dialogue in the developmental process of finding peace through dialogue. The Golden Rule Dialogue is simply, “Treat others the way you want to be treated in your dialogue.” Dr. Rivers' motto is, “Listening for Change.” He believes every life is valuable and created for a contribution to our world and that without peace, that contribution is lost and our entire world loses.

"As I travel around the world I see various nations or communities in conflicts due to racism, tribalism, sexism, classism, and many types of divisions." states Dr. Rivers. "All of it is rooted in one single law that is being violated. They are violating the Royal Law, the Golden Rule."

As Dr. Rivers is called in to sometimes mediate or expedite peaceful solutions rather it's a small community or an entire nation, he finds that he is able to bring the keys to peaceful resolution through Golden Rule Dialogue and the promotion of the Royal Law.

THE ROYAL LAW KEY TO WORLD PEACE

The Leading Voice of Golden Rule Dialogue, Dr. Clyde Rivers

If you really fulfill the Royal Law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well ---- James 2:8

As the leading voice in Golden Rule Dialogue, Dr. Clyde Rivers is bringing the Royal Law to the world. Dr. Rivers explains, "While many view the Golden Rule from a religious perspective, it is actually revealed as a Royal Law in scripture. It is a law based on governance, not religion."

The leader of the Global Golden Rule Movement is building a Royal Law platform that is based upon the sovereign King perspective of God, which can be seen in the Bible where it declares in Psalm 24:1, "The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein."

Dr. Rivers insists that this bible passage clearly shows that God is King, Lord and Ruler over the earth, the whole world, which includes all that dwell therein. God is King and He established a Royal Law by which mankind would be governed.

No matter what one believes about God, or even if there is no belief in any divine entity, most people will agree on the Royal Law. It's not a religious law and it carries more weight than a cultural code.

"It is amazing that all of the major religions of the world agree on this one ethic: Treat others the way you want to be treated. Love your neighbor as yourself,"  concludes Dr. Rivers, "As I travel around the world and see various nations or communities in conflicts due to racism, tribalism, sexism, and many types of divisions, I see all of it rooted in one single law that is being violated: They are violating the Royal Law, the Golden Rule."

As Dr. Rivers is called into communities or nations to mediate or expedite peaceful solutions, he finds that he is able to bring the keys to peace and development through Golden Rule Dialogue and the promotion of the Royal Law.

GOLDEN RULE CULTURE

Amb. Dr. Eric Melwani

Culture is defined by Merriam- Webster as: the beliefs, customs, arts, etc., of a particular society, group, place, or time. Thus, we must create the Golden Rule Culture where our beliefs, customs and ways revolve around treating others the same way we want others to treat us. Let us do unto others as we would have them do unto us. As we make this our way of living, we will create a Culture of the Golden Rule.

The principle of the Golden Rule requires us to treat others the same way we want to be treated. This principle is the key to global peace. When we treat others with respect, honor and dignity, we will receive that same treatment in return. Thus, strife, hatred and violence will be eradicated. When we impact our homes, we will in return impact our communities. It will impact our nation on the bigger scale, thus creating a global culture of the Golden Rule.

The principle of the Golden Rule will also create national unity. It will unite everyone when we treat others the same way we desire others to treat us. This powerful principle will bring down the walls of disunity, discord and confusion. When we are driven to do good to others, we will show them the power of love and goodness. How can anyone not respond to love and goodness? Thus, when we sow good, then we will reap good. It will be a 'boomerang effect' in that, what leaves us will return back to us.

By creating the Golden Rule Culture we are a promoting a system of honoring others. When we honor others, we are creating a culture that values others and their contributions. This will also create an environment of honor. Honor will bring positive changes to our nations; making the world a better place to live. Thus, we must live the Golden Rule and change how we treat and communicate with others.

The Golden Rule Culture will create peace amongst all people and is the most effective peace policy ever.  As we speak the language of the Golden Rule, we will promote peace and goodwill to all our encounters. Thus, we must treat others the same way we want to be treated!

AMBASSADOR RIVERS ACKNOWLEDGES PEACEFUL RESPONSE OF GRIEVING INNER-CITY MOTHER

Dr. Nashon Walker, Kim Thomas, and Dr. Clyde Rivers

Global Peace Ambassador, Dr. Clyde Rivers presented the iChange Nations’™ Distinguished Leadership Medallion to Kim Thomas, who was recognized for her role in preventing a violent reaction in the City of Harrisburg Pennsylvania, following the tragic loss of her 20-year-old son who was shot and killed by Harrisburg police responding to a domestic violence call on August 7, 2016.  The incident occurred during a time in which violent retaliations to police shootings were breaking out all over the United States. However, when it happened in Harrisburg, this mother had a different response.

The presentation was made during the HoodRise Nation's second annual Golden Rule Award Ceremony hosted by founder and president, Dr. Nashon Walker, in Harrisburg, PA on Sunday, November 6, 2016. As Ambassador Rivers presented the award to Thomas, he told her, “You exemplified courage, saved a city, empowered a nation, and your son’s loss was not in vain.”

Two days after losing her son, Thomas gathered with civic and religious leaders in a local church for a community meeting with the Harrisburg Chief of Police, Thomas Carter.  She not only chose the higher road, by not lashing out at law enforcement, but she asked the Chief of Police and the community to make sure that another mother would not have to go through the same thing.  In a local TV news segment, she is seen embracing the police chief in expressing her desire for unity.

As he fought back his own emotions, due the magnitude of her peaceful and Golden Rule response, Dr. Rivers told a tearful Kim Thomas, “We are grateful for your heart. You are truly a leader; and the whole world and all of America needs to understand the goodness of God in your life and in your heart.”

Kim Thomas received a standing ovation as Dr. Rivers’ words caused the audience to realize the significance of what this young mother had done in establishing a global example of forgiveness and the Golden Rule.

“We’re not part of promoting the negativity that often surrounds the conflicts between law enforcement and young African American men,” affirms Dr. Rivers. “We are highlighting people like Kim Thomas, who have chosen the way of peace and the Golden Rule, in responding to tragedy. She is a powerful example to the whole world and we were honored to be part of this special moment in history.”

When an individual recognizes that his or her voice is being heard, it changes the dynamics of the situation and creativity is allowed to manifest. Seeking to understand each other’s perspective is crucial to this process.

THE GIFT OF HONOR

Honorees in Chicago

The wisest man who ever lived once said; “A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.” (Proverbs 18:16). I recently had the privilege of traveling to Chicago, Illinois to be with Ambassador Clyde Rivers and several Golden Rule Peace Ambassadors, as representatives of the “iChange Nations” family.  As we converged on the Windy City, the vision to create cultures of honor was set before us. Eight Ambassadors from across the country, from diverse backgrounds and cultures, yet we were intent on one purpose.  We came to seek out those who deserve to receive a gift of honor.

Honor is a gift because it is unsolicited. Honor is a gift because it cost us something.  We paid a price to go and recognize others who have paid a price to serve others. Honor is a gift because it encourages those weary hands who work tirelessly to encourage others. Honor is the perfect gift because it is available to every human being to give. Honoring others truly brought us before great men and women.

Amb. Dr. Clyde Rivers and Dr. Gary Slutkin
We were thrilled to meet with Dr. Gary Slutkin and his assistant Angalia Bianca with Cure Violence at the University of Chicago. Dr. Slutkin has followed up an impressive career with the World Health Organization to help those suffering around the world from epidemic diseases to establish Cure Violence.

This organization is treating violence as a disease and helping people in several nations to break this destructive lifestyle. Some of those that are cured return to their old neighborhoods as social workers to help others overcome as well. What a moving moment it was to watch Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers honor over 20 of these heroes.

We also met Cobe Williams who starred in the documentary film “The Interrupters”and is Cure Violence’s International trainer.  Cobe is a perfect example of a life that has been changed and is now helping others.

We also had the pleasure of producing a TV broadcast with our new friends at Christ Family TV Network.  Ambassador Rivers honored several deserving church leaders, followed up by interviewing fellow Peace Ambassadors, Dr. Charles Kinuthia, founder of the One Stop Tax Service Franchises, and Dr. Nashon Walker, founder of Hoodrise Nation, an outreach to the inner city where he brings hope, every day, to young people through music and mentorship.

Another treat was meeting Golden Rule Ambassador Coach Tony Branch.  Tony’s accomplishments are numerous, but I was particularly impressed with the 10 years that he coached women’s basketball.  He not only taught them how to play the game, but he taught them about life.  Over 100 of these young athletes received college scholarships thanks to their hard work, but also thanks to Coach Tony opening doors and seeing them through.  Even though his job was done, he stayed connected to these young ladies to help them through their 4 years of college.

When you create a culture of honor, you can’t help but be built up just by being in presence of other people of influence. It's always great to be surrounded by great leaders;  Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers, Dr. Donni Pitzl, Dr. Michal Pitzl, Dr. Brian Williams, Dr. Charles Kinuthia, Dr. Nashon Walker and Mr. Johnny Vega.

LAY A FOUNDATION WITH THE GOLDEN RULE

Dr. Dan Justice
Much like the “apostolus” in the first century who acted as ambassadors of Rome to the people where they had expanded their kingdom, Jesus sent his disciples as “apostles” to make known the culture of his kingdom.  In like manner, Dr. Justice has traveled to 16 countries over the last 30 years to create cultures of honor and to improve the life of mankind.

Dr. Justice's home base is in Ft Worth, Texas where he leads a house church with a focus on developing the treasure, that is God’s gift, that resides in every human being.  Dr. Justice combines over 30 years of business management and ownership with a unique understanding of the seasons of life and how to communicate a path for growth and development. The family that is built in this intimate setting has resulted in additional outreach through its members across America and into other countries, reaching across traditional lines of separation such as race and gender.

Relationships have also been formed with other missionaries resulting in a global impact that has literally reached around the world. He has also built a network of house church pastors in his city for mutual encouragement, council and fellowship. Collaboration among these leaders has multiplied resources and opened doors of opportunity for others to serve as well.

Dr. Dan Justice impacting lives in Nigeria
One of Dr. Justice’s current missions is partnering with New Vision Ministries from Alvord, Texas, to plant a church in the City of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. The residual effect of planting this church has been the opening of the door to be a mentor to a network of pastors in the city through training conferences, one-on-one council, and providing discipleship materials for the members of their churches. The mission also consists of establishing business ventures to create jobs and to partner with the government to invest into the communities in which they are engaged. Future plans include establishing a radio and television studio that will give an opportunity for those who are being trained to expand their influence to others.

Plans are also being laid to duplicate this model in Uganda, Kenya, and Honduras.

The glue that holds this all together is conducting ceremonies in cooperation with Dr. Clyde Rivers, the Founder, and President of iChange Nations, where they create a culture of honor in the country in which they are working.  The Golden Rule, as a foundation, is a creative force that will change the course of a nation. ICN models this truth by recognizing and honoring people from every sector of society for the good they have done to serve humanity.  This creates good relations and sets a road-map for long-term relationships.

THE GOLDEN RULE IN MARRIAGE

Chris and Carol Green

We stood before a minister, taking those sacred wedding vows, but five months later we were beginning to feel like this was not going to work. Our marriage was in the first stages of disintegration. No matter how sincerely we were trying to communicate, we could not connect. Words, phrases and actions said one thing but it meant something totally different to the other person. We didn’t have the same language because we didn’t have the same words.  We didn’t even have the same alphabet.

We cannot recall the exact date and time, but following another one of those frustrating and futile moments of trying to communicate, we sat down together to try and reach some agreement. We had to find a way to stay connected with one another. So we made a PACT and it went something like this:

“I choose to believe that no matter how you say, what you say to me, you are not intentionally trying to hurt me, you meant it for my good.”

Our pact was simply the Golden Rule being applied to our relationship. When we made this pact, we had no idea how significant it was going to be. We just felt a new sense of peace. It was like we were finally, really married. We had slowly moved beyond the soaring emotional connections of love and advanced to a solid unconditional acceptance of one another. We had forged the Golden Rule into our marriage. We had each said, “I will treat you the way that I want to be treated. I will trust you the way that I want to be trusted.”

We had a new security. We had tapped into a secret place from which we could begin learning one another’s alphabet and thus begin to piece together words and sentences.  Simultaneously, we could build a stronger connection between us. It was like working on our health while working on an injury at the same time.

The Golden Rule has been a huge part of the foundation of our marriage for more than 35 years and we have also been teaching it as a healing prescription for the couples that we coach. Sometimes our family and friends comment on our present ability to communicate in a manner that seems almost telepathic. We can just say one word or give a brief glance across a room and we are able to conduct an entire conversation in a few seconds.

This new level of communication began when a couple that had only been married for six months, in a moment of desperation, made a Golden Rule choice for their relationship.

DR. GRACE KINUTHIA WITH CONGRESSWOMAN SHEILA JACKSON LEE CELEBRATING INFLUENTIAL WOMEN OF HOUSTON

Dr. Grace Kinuthia and Hon. Sheila Jackson Lee

On Friday in honor of Top 30 Influential Women of Houston Gala Award Ceremony, I had the honor of meeting with several influential people including Hon. Congresswoman, Sheila Jackson Lee. Hon. Lee is the U.S. Representative for Texas 18th Congressional District since 1995.

The main purpose of the event was to honor, celebrate and motivate women who are making a difference in their communities in different business sectors such as education, arts, healthcare, journalism, law, and finance.

Through this event, I was reminded of the importance and the value of women in society. Every woman matters and is valuable. We all have been created for a purpose and should contribute to the void that exists in the world. We need to keep our eyes open for opportunities to support and honor other women on the path to their dreams and celebrate their success; be it through congratulating them for a job well done, networking, giving them a positive comment or feedback and acknowledging their efforts in making the world a better place. Sometimes, that's all someone needs to help them with their journey so they don't give up on their dreams.

It is also very important to build relationships with other people that are outside our circle of influence. No matter how talented someone is, networking is very important for it can lead to partnerships that can change the world.

I'm very inspired and I encourage other women to honor and celebrate each other. Let us celebrate others by helping them reach their fullest potential. God created each one of us uniquely for a purpose and to accomplish our purposes, we need each other. Unity is strength. We are stronger when we work together than against each other.

We are working in collaboration with Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers, the Founder, and President of iChange Nations, the world's largest Honoring Network Establish Cultures of Honor around the world. Hope 631 continues to bring back and celebrate the culture of honor. iChange Nations is also a professional institution that equips, mentors and trains highly esteemed individuals who have the desire to change nations throughout the world.

DR. PHINEHAS KINUTHIA SPEAKS UP ON HUMAN RIGHTS AND THE VALUE OF ALL MANKIND

Dr. Phinehas Kinuthia

The launch of the Human Rights Global Congress by IChange Nations™ in Grand Rapids Michigan was a life changing event. It was exciting and inspiring to have people from all walks of life come together and begin the conversation on how to educate the world on their Human Rights. It was inspiring to hear from each great leader.

The underlying theme was how valuable each of us are in our uniqueness and why we are to contribute towards humanity’s development by educating our children.  What inspired me was the paradigm that human rights issue is all about potential. There is untapped potential in everyone and so when we violate the human rights of others such as their rights for equality and freedom we deny them the opportunity to maximize on their abilities and who they were meant to be. This in return becomes potential wasted and humanity misses out on the value of that person’s contribution to the world. So every person should be valued.

It was also clear that the education of people on Human Rights has to start with our children. The average person cannot quote all the 30 Human Rights in the Universal Declaration of the Human Rights.  So we are to start helping people learn and understand their rights so they can become proponents and advocates of causes that support these rights.  It was an honor to contribute to this great conversation.

LIFE COACHES PARTNER WITH LOCAL SHELTER TO HELP WOMEN REBUILD THEIR LIVES

Chris and Carol Green w/ Shalom House Women's Shelter Staff

Urban Community Ambassadors and Life Coaches, Chris and Carol Green were part of a special gathering of community partners and volunteers who were acknowledged at a Recognition Reception hosted by the Shalom House Women’s Shelter on June 14, 2016.

“When I first met Chris and Carol and learned of the work that they do, I knew they could have a significant positive impact on the lives of the residents we serve at Shalom House," says Executive Director of the shelter, Denise Britton.

“Without hesitation, they jumped in to begin engaging the residents and furthering the potential of turning an experience of homelessness and often hopelessness into hope and possibility. Further, they committed to helping us raise the bar of effectiveness for our staff, offering their coaching expertise (and encouragement) in regular staff training sessions. Our gratitude is unending.”

The World Peace Ambassadors were merged into the Shelter's calendar to provide life coaching support for both the staff and residents of this special outreach situated in one of the City of Harrisburg’s high-crime neighborhoods.

“We’re just following the Golden Rule mandate that tells us that we must treat others the way we want to be treated,” says Carol Green who leads the monthly staff coaching sessions.

“The location of an urban community outreach should never deter you from the mission to lift all of humanity. The women and children that come to the shelter have been through incredible trauma. The Shalom House staff is to be commended for the outstanding work they do in guiding the residents to a place where they are ready to receive life coaching from us.”

Chris and Carol Green became part of the Shelter’s strategy to transition the residents out the facility and back into everyday life. Their coaching tools proved to be vital in enhancing the resident’s life coping skills; enabling them to take confident steps toward rebuilding their families and recapturing their lives.

ALLEVIATING POVERTY IN AFRICA

This article was written by Dr. Grace Kinuthia. Dr. Grace is the President of Hope 631, an initiative set in motion to help the children living in the Nakuru slums of Nairobi Kenya. This articles tells us about some of the focus of Hope 631. Dr. Grace is also involved in the leadership of IChange Nations™ First Lady’s Club. Setting forth to honor and promote First Ladies around the world. Helping them leave a legacy of hope and advancement for the people of their countries. Dr. Grace resides in Houston, Texas. Dr. Grace resides in Houston, Texas with her husband Dr. Charles Kinuthia.

________________________________________________

Hope 631 a Global nonprofit starts a new initiative of building primary schools at the dumpsite in Nakuru Kenya. The African slums have been neglected for many years. The poor are abandoned and left to fate and the dumpsite has become a home for many. Though a violation of human rights, local governments have done little to nothing in helping these families change their way of life.

Africa region has experienced an impressive increase in the number of students enrolled in primary school. Between 1990 and 2012, the number of children enrolled in primary schools more than doubled, from 62 million to 149 million children. In sub-Saharan Africa, 15 countries have abolished school fees since 2000, enabling more children to attend primary school. Despite tremendous gains in primary school enrollment, no African country has achieved universal primary education. For a country to achieve universal primary education, all children must have completed a full course of primary schooling. Globally, 58 million children of primary school age were out of school in 2012. Of that number, 38 million children were in Africa. About half of all out-of-school African children will never step foot in a school in their lifetime. Source: UNESCO, United Nations.

At the dumpsite in Nakuru, very few children attend primary school because they can’t afford to pay for tuition and uniforms and in many cases the schools are so far away and it’s not safe for them as there have been a number of reported rape cases. School environment and learning conditions are unbearable Seeing the need for these disenfranchised families, Hope 631 has stepped up to help by providing clean water, food, the basic necessities of life and most important building primary schools. Starting with the most immediate need which is also the most basic: clean water, Hope 631, has started working on building wells so these families can also have access to clean water.

In a recent interview, Vice president Dr. Charles Kinuthia stated that the current education system provides neither the financial literacy students will need to manage the meager resources under their control, nor the guidance needed to create opportunities for securing a livelihood or building wealth. In addition, schooling provides little assistance to promote the physical health needed for economic stability and quality of life. Life expectancy is low in impoverished regions, and not just because of lack of quality medical care. The devastation of preventable disease wreaks havoc on the well-being and financial stability in poor regions; which can be dramatically mitigated through instruction on basic health behaviors, such as hand washing.

Primary education lays the foundation for the success or failure of future learning. Hope 631 President, Dr. Grace Kinuthia, in collaboration with IChange Nation™ President Dr. Clyde Rivers hope to change the current trend which is epidemic and are calling on other world leaders to support the new education initiatives around the world that will make the world a better place.
